About us: Our History
Hope for Destitute was founded by Mr. Enosh and Shruthi Jamkhandi, driven by a deep passion to make a difference in the lives of unprivileged girls. The journey began when the couple encountered the harsh realities faced by many young girls living in poverty-stricken areas. Moved by their experiences, they decided to take action and create a safe haven where these children could receive the care, education, and support they desperately needed.
In its early days, Hope for Destitute started with just a few girls in a modest facility, relying on the dedication and commitment of Mr. Enosh, Shruthi, and a handful of volunteers. The couple’s vision was clear: to provide a nurturing environment that would empower these girls to overcome their challenges and build brighter futures.
As word spread about their mission, more people began to support the cause. Donations, both monetary and in-kind, started to pour in, enabling the organization to expand its reach and improve its facilities. The community’s response was overwhelming, reflecting a shared belief in the importance of helping these vulnerable children.
Over the years, Hope for Destitute has made significant progress. The organization now serves a larger number of girls, offering comprehensive programs that address their educational, emotional, and physical needs. The dedicated staff, comprising primarily women, works tirelessly to create a safe and supportive environment for the girls to thrive.
Education has always been a cornerstone of the organization’s efforts. Through partnerships with local schools and the introduction of tutoring and extracurricular programs, Hope for Destitute ensures that every girl has access to quality education. This focus on learning has helped many girls excel academically and pursue their dreams.
In addition to education, the organization has also placed great emphasis on the overall well-being of the girls. Nutritional meals, healthcare services, and counseling support are integral parts of the care provided. These efforts have resulted in remarkable transformations, with many girls healing from their past traumas and embracing their potential with renewed hope.
Today, Hope for Destitute stands as a beacon of hope and resilience. The organization continues to grow, guided by the unwavering dedication of Mr. Enosh and Shruthi Jamkhandi, along with the support of countless donors, volunteers, and community members. Their collective efforts have created a brighter future for unprivileged girls, proving that with compassion and commitment, we can make a profound difference in the world.
